Well that's it I'm quitting my job, spent 3 hours in traffic again

20mins there, 15mins back.

I use to commute to work that often took up to 2hrs one way. HELL. I HATE driving to begin with, and i was so glad when i finally quit (it was winter, and no way in hell was i going to be commuting 3 hrs one way).

I can't take it anymore I've spent the last 3 years travelling 120 miles to work per day, on a good day I could make the drive in 1 hour (1 way). But lately its taking me anywhere from 2 hours (1 way) and more just to get back and forth. I finally decided tonight that I can't go on any longer, I'm sick and tired of only having 2 hours to myself in a day. I plan on sending my resume out tomorrow and hopefully I can find anothjer job within the next few weeks.

So how long does it take you to get back and forth from work?

Why dont you just move closer to your workplace?
I have to drive to university 45 minutes everyday BTW.

About 45mins to an hour each way using public transportation (90% of the time). If I decide to drive to work, it takes about 15-20mins each way

jesus christ, what you travel 120 mph???

no tickets?

I've had 2 tickets in the past 3 years, it could be a lot worse

I think he means 60 miles in an hour.

26 miles each way:

50 min in the morning (leave the house at 6 am)
70 - 90 min in the evenings (leaving work before 5 pm)

it's not all that bad, I'm not in much stop and go when I take the freeway. The only beef I have with my commute is that I've gone in on Sunday morning when there's little enough traffic that I can change lanes back and forth without slowing down much, and it becomes a 35 min drive. Oh, and if I leave the house at 4:30, it's also a 35 min drive, but I don't like leaving that early.

I live a bit over 10 miles from work. Takes about 15-20 minutes in the morning and anywhere from 15-20 to 60+ on the way home.

5-7 minutes to work. Time all depends on whether I catch a red light or not.

But good luck finding a job closer. 🙂
