I called a friend, she wasn't home so I started to leave a message on her machine. I heard a voice coming through the ear piece the entire time I was leaving the message, it took me a couple seconds to realize it was my own! :Q Either my phone, or her machine, or something was repeating everything I said back to me, with about a 1/2 second delay.

If signal strength between two machines over cabling like that is too strong, it's very common to get the signal bounced back, or reflected, off of a piece of hardware between the two machines. It happens with cable modems all the time. But that only causes the cable modem to talk to "itself" instead of the real network and, therefore, the modem will act as though there is no network connection available.

If you go listen to the message on her side, you won't hear it.

Happens with my cell phone a lot. It's rather annoying. If it's not super important, I just hang up and call again which usually fixes it.

Do we need to look queer up in the dictionary? It was odd. I found this experience to be odd. Odd=queer. Just like Gay=happy. Isn't the English language great?

Sorry, I went a little off the deep end there. It's late. i'm tired. Good night.

That is actually a small rift in the seamwork of time that holds all the millions of seperate universes apart, use utmost caution next time it happens, if you actually talk to yourself through one of those rifts, the universe could very well collapse.
