Well... that was easy.

I bought a defective joystick, and after a couple email exchanges with Thrustmaster, they determined that 1) yes, it's defective, and 2) you should exchange it with Amazon.

So I get on Amazon, click two or three things, and boom. Done. They're sending me a replacement, and I can send back the dead one after I receive the new one (so I can use the product packaging.) Free shipping.

Took like 2 minutes, didn't have to talk to anybody. I was shocked. Happy, but shocked.

Easiest product return I've ever done.

I remember them using a logitech controller to fly the prometheus in Stargate or Atlantis.

It has many uses.

I have a Saitek AV8R that I break out from time to time. Sometimes I get the urge to play XWing Vs Tie Fighter :)

I have no idea why they're not remaking that game...so awesome.

Because Lucas is opposed to anything that doesn't suck?

Lucas wanted to make "Jar Jar Shuck 'n' Jive Kinnect" instead. Next on his to-do list is "Ewok Party Time Kinnect, Yub Nub!"

He was also intrigued by Rapeplay but wants to apply that to an Indiana Jones game.

I just returned a wifi extender to Amazon because it didn't work with the FIOS router (other comments said the same). The return process was pretty much click and print the return form... send it back free and you get your refund. Amazon is awesome. Other than charging tax in NY that is.

Sweet -- I love playing games with joysticks/gamepads! I used to play FS98/2000 with a Sidewinder Pro all the time...good old days

I still have a gravis game pad for playing emulators :)

gearing up for mechwarrior eh?
Yup.

Been fiddling around with a couple older flight sim demos though.

I still suck at them.

The T-Flight HOTAS X lasted about two days before it started triggering its own buttons. I'm hoping it's just a fluke.

I managed to pick up a fully functional force-feedback Sidewinder 2 at Goodwill for $5 a few years ago. Score!
