I guess I never should have gotten my hopes up. I didn't get anything on my list this year. I didn't get bad gifts or anything, it's just my parents asked me for as short list (2 or 3 things) and they couldn't be bothered to go out and buy anything off of that short list, it's aggrivating how they can go shopping for hours on other people and find exactly what they want, but can't be bothered to get anything that their son asked for (btw, for those of you saying I was spoiled, I asked for small things, a cell phone face plate, a video game and a money clip). How degrading. I guess making a list makes you get your hopes up, what a stupid thing to do.

Ever thought that perhaps your parents do not love you?

This is a little misleading. You just didn't get anything on your list or you didn't get anything AT ALL?

I didn't ask for much, didn't get much, oh well... money is tite in my family, so I'm not holding any grudges...

although it must be nice for the rich families to be buying their kids snowboards and video games and such....

I had the computer consoles, the stuffed toys, the new hi-fi systems, the keyboard etc when i wanted them as a kid.

Now to be perfectly honest I couldnt give a crap if i got nothing.

Christmas isnt what it used to be for me, and it never will be, for one reason, ive grown out of it.

b/f has been working 18hrs a day for months. I NEVER see him. On his day off, he is doing stuff for other ppl. He forgot our anniversay last month, and 'didn't have time' to buy me a XMas card. My parents and family are over 1,000 miles away. I am doing laundry on XMas day, in my flannel Pj's.

But on the flip side. My daughter flew in from college in England. She is here for three weeks. She landed, slept off the jetlag and we have been shopping ever since. :)!

No decoration, no fancy meals, no crap. We are just gonna hang and be glad we are together for for the holidays.
:) :) :)

edit: too many typos!

Nope, not a thing.

The ironic thing is, my dad makes over a million a year and still can't find me the gift I really asked for. You want to know what it was? A freakin cell fone face plate. 20 bucks.

Edit # 2: I originally asked for nothing as to not get my hopes up, but when I went looking around with my dad he said for me to tell him the one thing I wanted.
