Just played in the championship outdoor soccer game for school. Half way in to the first half, some retard jumps for a ball that I was about to head. He didn't know what he was doing; he turned his body in midair and hit my forehead with the side of his head. I assure you, it was entirely his fault. He even admited it, let alone everyone else on the field.

A *loud* knocking sound was made and I stumbled back, semi-pissed at his idiocy. I look down at my hand and see blood. I quickly realize it's not mine, it's his. The side of his head was gushing blood. It was running down behind his ear, all over his neck. I don't think I've ever seen so much blood at once.

So now I have a bump on my forehead, but more frightening, a chance that I'll get ANOTHER migraine (6th of the semester). I have huge amount of homework to do and this would screw me plenty good.

At least we won by ~10 goals

You both went for the ball. If you saw him going for it, couldn't you have stopped? Methinks blame is equal and that sports lead to injuries.

No, I wasn't at fault at all. The refs, my teammates and their entire team said it was his fault.

He jumped, recklessly, for a ball that I had already cleared. I was standing there while he ran fairly quickly and smashing right in to my head. I couldn't get out of the way, I was in the air. He just really didn't know how to play soccer (he sucked) so it was ignorance, not intent. Anyway, maybe next time he'll think twice.

You look like your gonna cry in the first pic....is baby gonna cry? ;)

Was said retard on your team?

Either which way, it's a sport, injuries are bound to happen. So change your tampon, open up a new box of kleenex because you're going to need them all to wipe your still wet pussy.

You really have to question the intelligence of people who play games where people kick things, and then they try to stop them with thier heads.

Soccer player 1: "Hey man, I'm gonna kick this as hard as I can, then you stick your head in front of it, ok?"
Soccer player 2: "Sounds like a good idea!"

no, he wasn't on my team. That would truely involve idiocy

I'm not complaining about the pain (there isn't any really) or that fact that it happened. I'm more concerned about the possible effects it will have on my school work if I get a migraine in an hour or two

From my understanding migraines don't stem from jarring of the head.
Either way I'm sure if you get a headache it will suck.

Still, it's to be expected with sports. Oh well.

My migraines are completely random from what I can tell, but I have been trying to narrow down my 'trigger'. I have gotten migraines from similar incidents.

I was hit in the head snowboarding, again it was not my fault. I was just a kid at the time and the guy felt awful. I shrugged it off but by the time I got to the top of the mountain, I was so tired I couldn't go for more than a minute without having to rest.

I also have had 3 migraines this semester alone after playing (indoor) soccer. It could be the smell, it could be the lack of food, it could be the bright lights after dark, it could be from being knocked around too much in the game (indoor usually is a lot rougher than outdoor). I really haven't figured it out yet.

I'm starting to have some vision problems, a sign of a migraine coming :(

Sucks. My gf and her mother have SEVERE migraines. It gets to the point where we have to bring them to the hospital to get them heavily sedated.

Thoes don't sound like migraines. You may want to get an MRI done. I can say I'm glad I'm not in the crowd that gets crippling headaches.

I definately get migraines. I have all the symptoms: visual distortions, numbness on half the body, only half my head hurts, nausea, sometimes I throw up (feels much better afterwards). I have migraine medicine that I might take just in case, as a precaution.

They run in my family apparently, bad luck of the draw
