Well that didn't take long (WoW)

If people play WoW for fun, let them be. Geez. They can say the same thing about what anyone else's hobbies are.

Not any worse than scavenging road kill (that is in acceptable skeletal shape), boiling the flesh from their bones, bleaching them and trying to piece them together for the ole skeleton collection for the study of anatomy.

I always end up with more bones than I started with for some reason🙁

note that Karazhan is not the end instance of The Burning Crusade

still impressive, we are still getting everyone keyed up for it

death and taxes finally got a first.. oh wait.. second...

heh good for them on the karazhan clear. I'm leveling painfully slow but enjoying the ride.

Yeah I'm having fun with going slow. We actually have some people in our guild that hit 70 and now they're bored. Haha.

Yeah, it's cool that you play for fun but when you spend hours upon hours upon hours just to get level 70 just to be the first to do something in the game is pretty pointless... where is the fun out of that?

Do you watch TV?

Honestly, I don't understand the human instinct - and yes, it's an instinct, it's too common to be cultural - to get in other peoples' business and tell them they're living their life the wrong way. I want to have fun. I have fun playing WoW.

Go tell your church group or whatever about the evils of WoW, I'm sure they'll agree

I know at least some of Karazhan was open during the beta testing which many guilds had access to, and as others have said it's not the same as clearing MC, BWL, AQ40 or Naxx first.

We're going to be making our first appearance in Karazhan this weekend. Looks like a fun instance, especially the Opera house and chess encounters.

Do I watch tv? No I do not watch tv... now where did I ever say that everyone must follow what I say and if they do not they are wrong! I think you need to get your reading comprehension skills up a bit.

Just quit while you're behind & do us all a favor and STFU. I don't play Wow, don't care much about it, but I really just want you to STFU.

Well, for me at 70... I'm working my faction up with just about every group and doing all the quests I have left over (the entire Shadowmoon Valley isn't done) to get some money for my epic flying mount. My current goals are:

* Hit revered/exalted with every new faction.
- Some matter more where I end up than others. I'd rather get exalted with Aldor so I can get the better shoulder enchants, but I think I only need revered with Honor Hold as I shouldn't need anything more than the key. Unless the better Cobrahide patch is exalted (I can't remember and it requires some hefty mats for little improvement anyway).
* Epic Flying mount.
- I need this badboy so I can do some more lifelike Chuck Norris-esque Delta Force drop-ins! It's fun flying over an area and just dropping off right where the quest item is (and doing so, skipping about 10-15 fights.. although I'm a rogue so I could just do that anyway :laugh😉.
* Get some sort of set (probably Assassination)
- I can't stand the ghetto mish-mosh of items look after replacing some of my gear. I need something that looks decent and actually provides decent stats. Blizzard uber-nerfed our crit/agility ratio (it's about 40 agil per crit right now at 70 and 20 crit rating per 1 crit), which is what made me go from about 27% crit at 60 to 20% crit at 70.
* Get keyed for all the instances.
- I currently have the quests, but I'd need to find a group that I think is competent enough to do it.

Hope you can get all those goals you are aiming for ^_^ I've seen those flying mounts and they look awesome just I think it is crap you can not use them in the original worlds of Kalimdor(?) and the Eastern Kingdoms 🙁

They should be fairly easy overall... they'll just take some time. I'm only at about 1700g after purchasing my other flying mount, so I still have about 3500g to go.

I think the reasoning for locking out the newer mounts is because Blizzard didn't want to make them non-flyable on Azeroth or if they were flyable, then you could reach areas that you're not supposed to be able to reach. The only issue is there seems to be a bad bug with the flying mounts that causes them to constantly ascend and it's quite annoying 😛.

The worst part is... I have 3 other 60's who also need to be leveled and reach certain faction requirements 🙁. But after playing so much on one character, I don't know if I really want to level another.

The flying mounts can't be used in the old world (azeroth and kalimdor) because the old world geography really isn't all there. Some locations are displayed as though they are 3d but they are actually 2d backdrops. (cities i think?)

The new tbc zones are all completely 3d so flying mounts are possible.

The nice thing about leveling twinks, is that it's easy, especially with rested experience. And the huge amount of gold you get from questing 60->70 can fund your epic mount or whatever else you need.

I'm not sure, but I do know that there are a lot of special areas that you can't access normally, but you would be able to access with a flying mount. There's also probably things that have just never been implemented because there was no reason (such as The Maelstrom) or Northrend (which you can get to anyone if I remember correctly 😛).

Definitely, it may be one of the best things that I can do once I finish all of the quests that I have left over on my rogue. I'm thinking about jumping to my mage, because of how inexpensive they are (since they make all of their own rations), but he still needs his normal mount training. Fortunately though, before BC, he had the highest gold count out of all of my characters 😛. I'd say as long as I have money to get a normal flying mount at 70 on an alt, I'd be happy. My alts never had an epic mount to begin with, so it wouldn't be much of a change.

No doubt! That's why I'm taking my time leveling. I remember how boring it was at 60 for so long. Raiding BWL/Naxx over and over again got pretty stale.

I just hit 70 on Monday night and took my time doing every single quest in all the zones (I was halfway through netherstorm quests when I hit 70). I got my epic flying mount and boy is it sweet. Guild currently just started Karazhan and is freaking out cause they have no priests keyed and are rushing me to get me a key, which I'm not going to do (I'm going to finish all of the quests in Netherstorm and Shadowmoon).
