Well that didn't take long: Bitcoin down 90% since June

I never had any illusions that it wasn't going to go into the tank, but I figure if you already have the hardware (a good vid card), why not mine away and sell?

I made a couple hundred dollars on it. If I would have entered the market just a week earlier, I could have probably caught it when it peaked and sold some coin to make over $2,000. I sold out in Early-mid August when I decided that it was going to continue to drop in price. There was no chance for recovery of the market.

This article really doesn't do it justice. The market jumped during the month of May and was around $8+ when it for some reason doubled one day and doubled again the next and was at $32 for a couple days and then dropped straight down. From then on it was like 17 or lower. If they would have taken the graph back another full month you would see that the only thing that has happened is that bitcoin is where it was at the end of April. It's easy to cherry pick numbers like that.

Where did all the bitcoin nuts go? Trading real money for virtual items with no property rights has an inevitable FAIL at the end.

Yeah man...

Printing money out of thin air and lending out 1s and 0s in excess of 10x's the actual bank deposits is a great practice as well.

How long til the dollar tanks? Since I don't see you criticizing our own US economy, I have to assume you back it and back the people who have been looting it.

In another note, I've made about $6000 in the past 2 weeks out of bitcoin. How about you?

If I borrow that $6000 from you, we've essentially "printed" money also: I've got extra $6000 and you're not $6000 poorer. Might wanna google on the concepts of debt/credit.

Bitcoin is no different than the US dollar in that it's currently backed by nothing (i.e. its own good faith an credit.) Perhaps this is a sign of things to come?

haha, in threads about this before those of us who had ever visited any site on finances at all knew this was a complete joke. The concept was fatally flawed in a multitude of ways.

There you go. Did you know Doppelcoins are at parity with USD right now? And for a limited time you can buy 5 DCs for $4. That's an immediate 25% return on your investment. How many will you be buying today?
