Wife turned down a job today where she would make $30k more a year - which is a bonkers increase for a teacher. She was blabbing on about how class sizes were too big, too much red tape, drive was too far blah blah blah.
Teacher shortage is starting to hit MI hard with districts starting to offer matching or even matching+ years of service (previously if you changed schools you'd normally start near the bottom of that district's pay scale). I just need one of the better schools near us to struggle to fill a position so she can apply for it
