Ah. I wonder what insurance on that might be. I might go and test drive a Genesis coupe this weekend for the heck of it.

Genesis's are nice cars.

btw.. I have country companies insurance. I pay $120 a month for full coverage, $250 deductible on a 2004 BMW Z4.

Hell I ran into a poll last winter, which cost the insurance some cash, and I live in the hood. My insurance NEVER went up. State Farm man.

I don't like the fact that they need to run credit checks for you to get an accurate quote. One of the main reasons I have such a good credit score is because I don't let anyone run my credit unless I am buying a car.

They should be running a non-impacting query ("soft"). Even if they aren't, it would ding your credit by just a few points at most. Certainly worth the hundreds of bucks a year you could be saving by switching away from Geico.

You're surprised the insurance on a small, RWD coupe with a big I6 and 300hp is more than a jetta gli with what, 200ish?

:\

Wow you are getting gang banged. Even now, over $200/month for insurance is such toilet-flush. I would buy a beater and go minimum insurance just on principle.

I am 34. I got my license on 9/11/2001 -- lol.

Wow that is just a fvcking bad awful rate then.

I got a quote from Geico years ago, and they were way more expensive than Progressive. FWIW.

Yeah it's diff on diff people. Progressive is crazy expensive for me. Geico is cheaper than everything I've seen.

The insurance on that really isn't that bad. I didn't realize it was that powerful. The rate on the jetta is pretty awful, though.

It's a scaled down M3 more or less

Why not just update your other 13 threads where you kept indicating that one day you'll get a car.

There's probably only 3 or so. I mention it a lot, but not that much.

I am surprised it's $6-700 more, yes.

50% more cost for 50% more power/fun 😉

Get a 335 sedan. Price wise, it's a wash because the 135 is so damn expensive already. And the 1 series looks like a pregnant dolphin AND the 3 series sedan is actually cheaper to insure than many normal family sedans.

How old are you OP?

Koing

My 21 year old friend pays £1600 for his M3 CSL, he had one crash in his 3-4 year driving history which was last year.. Not sure why they're quoting you 3k!!

That's more than my M :Q

I live in Northern NJ which is more expensive insurance-wise than NYC since it includes Newark. 🙂

I'm single and I pay $1,250 a year for my 335i with one minor parking lot accident on record a couple years back.
