Of course the people you're hearing that from are the people doing it and burning up the cards, not the vendors or makers.Overclocking was supposed to be the strength of the 6800 GT. How many times have we heard the "buy a GT and oc to ultra speeds" routine? If you can't overclock your GT, its value drops compared to an overclocked x800 Pro, most of which seem to be holding up nicely on rage3d.
His card is an Ultra, stock overclocked to 425 core. It's mine that's actually overclocked beyond stock speeds.
