I drive 1000 miles a week and go through brakes like crazy, I've had them go completely metal on metal on the thruway. I'm not saying shes wrong or weird for getting upset at the situation, but for her to get hysterical that ber brakes are in need of replacement is kind of ridiculous.

Now, if you re-read your original post and all subsequent posts you made you will see that nowhere did you state that she was driving 50+mph and her brakes completely failed and she "almost died". What do you think we are, fvcking mind readers? It's not my reading comprehension that sucks, it's your ability to convey a message/story in written form.

Just got off the phone with my g/f. She says she bought a 3 year warranty on the car itself. So finally some good news.

Good news until she reads the fine print which excludes wear and tear items...like brakes.
