First off, fredtam you can just shut the fvck up. You're being an a$$. It's aparent that this is a hard time for Sabot's family. Best of luck Sabot.

I second that...you're being an @ss fredtam. Unemployment sucks...if it ever happened to you or a family member you would know and perhaps react differently.

I've been unemployed on several occasions. I have walked to work. I have lived without electricity. I have eaten nothing but rice and ramen noodles for a few months. I have had a business fail that I put blood sweat and tears into not to mention every dime I had and a couple I didn't. I left for boot camp the day my parents filed for bankruptcy (lost their house also) due to my mom's illness (My dad told me to live my own life). Plus a lot more sh!t I don't care to list. They are fine now and so am I.

How insensitive of you to post about your parent's personal business!

Face it, you've made yourself look like an ass numerous times already and contradicted yourself at least twice.

Being an asshole to Sabot isn't helping him, whereas several people have actually posted some helpful advice for him and his mother.

We've all got the point you've so unhelpfully tried to bludgeon into our heads: Life is hard. Just because you have firsthand experience with it doesn't give you a license to be an asshole.

We all pay unemployment insurance and that is what it is, insurance in case something like this happens.

Anyway, good luck Sabot. I don't know about up north but I do know the US is getting much better. In my company, we just hired 30 new investment bankers last month so they are expecting positive things over the next year.

Obviously, but welfare is if you CANwork

I'm not on the internet seeking sympathy for their problem (I wouldn't have been even if the internet had existed then). Also he didn't ask for advice.

Ouch. Snappy comeback there.

Yet, you're on the Internet being an asshole. That makes you so above him, doesn't it?

Maybe he just wanted to vent. At least most of the respondents were sympathetic instead of adding insult to injury, as you felt so inclined to do.

In case it escaped your notice, he did appreciate the advice that was given, even if it was unsolicited.

fredtam, you're a stupid bitch. The first and second line in your sig should be:

The next time you're having a bad day, imagine this:

You're a Siamese twin

And your first response in this thread was equally stupid.

We're in Ottawa, Canada, so I'm not sure how the IT market is doing right now at this location. Time will tell I suppose, I'm really considering staying home from school in Toronto though, I hope it doesn't come to that however.

How old is she? Around 40-50. I would say if she has the energy she can try going into real estate. I hear you dont need too much training to get started.

And stay in school, dropping out might seem better now, but staying in school will be more advantageous for you and your family in the future. Since your mom doesn't have a job, you should be able to get more grants from whatever school you're at. Go to the financial office and see.

Yah she's 52, I'll mention it to her, thanks. And yes, I am going to see what Financial Aid will do. I have school covered for the next year, and a good chunk of it covered for my 3rd year. It's about 15 grand a year in all.

hilarious fredtam

15grand a year???? for UofT??? you are kidding.. unless you are in engineering... you mean 15 grand for tuition/ books/ housing inclusive.. right..

I copied and pasted that from a member of these forums on irc. I make no apologies for his inability to spell or my first post in this thread.

Nice to see you're being consistent on at least one point in this thread: The fact that you're a moron. Congratulations.

I'm going to York, and the 15 grande encompasses everything thank God. Anything more and I would not nearly be able to afford it.

Again I want to thank everyone for your kind words, and defence against the troll. He doesn't bother me in the slightest, but his ignorance is rather shocking. My mother is in much better spirits, and is considering a change in her career path now.

It is truly appreciated, and has really made me feel better.

Just be glad that she is still alive, my mom died a little almost 2 months now, she would be 57 on the 28th, bless her soul.
