Well it was fun while it lasted

Was roughly 1500 miles on it. The truck was going 10-15mph (was accelerating from a stop sign though my lane to get to the center median to turn left heading southbound) when it hit me. I was heading northbound at the time.

One of my coworkers did grab a snapshot real quick and was able to get it. This only shows the impact side and not the damage to the steering, suspension, bumper and undercarriage on the left side from hitting the concrete curb but it is the only pic I have. I apologize if this image causes any problems, not an expert in editing and attaching images.

My Focus looked worse than that in some ways, and I just got it back last week 🙂

My 'Detailed' customer invoice says the insurance paid $7025.98 to fix it (!!!!)

Yeah think the only reason they flagged it as totaled was due to there being damage to several different locations resulting it probably costing too much in labor to diagnose everything. Only the back left quadrant of the car was undamaged.

Ouchers! What are you gonna look for now? Have you looked at the Kia Forte? It's a helluva nice car for the $ they want. I've got a new Focus, but am somewhat envious of the official 158hp and 37mpg that the Forte has, to say nothing of the 100k warranty.

Ouch! Good to hear you're OK though, and that if I get in an accident luke that, I'll be somewhat protected in my Versa Hatch.
