I am engaged. I proposed two nights ago(been working too much to have time to post about it). Everything went to plan(she had no idea it was coming). She said yes. I don't think her parents are thrilled because for some stupid reason they think she will drop out of grad school. Hell I am working as a shoe salesman because I can't get a job in CPSC since I graduated. If I could get into grad school I would be there also. Selling shoes is what I am doing until I find a real job. Her parents have always liked me. My mom is thrilled and so are our friends. :)

After almost 4 years of dating, we are now engaged. No idea on setting a date because I certainly need a better job so I can save some money.

Bah! Her parents will get over it :) Sounds like you didn't jump into anything hastily to me. Have fun and good luck! Wedding pics will be expected.
