what about a curve?
None of my profs give any curves.

it might be worth a shot to talk to your prof to see if there's any way to improve on that "C". the only thing you haveto lose is a little of your time.

The classes should be easy though because there are no real engineering courses yet but I'm fvcking them up anyway. Engineering physics and chem, calc 2 and a history course. I'll probably end around a 2.8. That's from an A-, two B-, and one C.

I think I see your problem. 4, 3, 3, 2... What does that average out to be? (*hint* Not 2.8)

Maybe you should choose a degree that is a little less math sensitive?

a 3.0 is not always easy....If that's what you are implying

A 3.0 shouldnt be too difficult for anyone suitably motivated. You can read into that what you will, and most of what you read into it would probably be correct.

What school did you go to and what was your major?

lol, you can't be serious dude... assuming they're all worth the same credit hours, that's a 3.0.

at least where I'm at an A- is a 3.8 and a B- is a 2.8. So he's at about a 2.8ish.

a = 4.0
a- = 3.7
b+ = 3.4
b = 3.0
b- = 2.7
c+ = 2.4
c = 2.0

at least at VT.. so with our scale he would have......2.775 given they are all 3 credit classes.

i freking love not having +/- grades to fvck things up.

no such thing as B- means if i get 90% and an 80%, i still have over a 3.0 🙂

Different credit values?

A is 4, A- is 3.67, B- is 2.67, and C is 2. The A class is only 1 credit hour, the A- is 4, both the B- are 4, and the C is 3. So it works out to 2.8.

We're not discussing my academic merits now are we?
I still stand by my guns. A 3.0 for anyone suitably motivated shouldnt be too difficult.

You think a 3.0 is easy, and its not everywhere you go. So yes, I think we can discuss your merits if you are gonna throw out a statement like that.
