Go watch "Corvette Summer." That's the movie that Mark Hammill made in 1978 between Episode 4 and Episode 5 of Star Wars. Give you an idea of the
bubblegum mentality of movies of that era... poor scripts, poor acting, etc.
Since Hammill starred in both movies, maybe you want another example. Try stomaching the original "Grease" with John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John. Scary
With those as a basis of comparison, perhaps you'll understand why Star Wars is revered.
