I'm here. The Bronx seems to be lucky and nothing much happened here. I can only go from what I see. Only people near water are getting affected.
The lights were turned off in Manhattan by Con Edison on purpose, not because water damage or anything like that. All the news outlets are making it look like Armageddon.

The subways are being flooded, multiple buildings and other structures have collapsed. I don't think it's at a stand still. Power is also out for what, over a million people now?

Also sometimes weathermen are wrong but its better to be safe than sorry.
