is my MB bad?

I've been having reboot problems, during ingame and always reproducable from Prime95
It didn't even pass Test1

so, I decided to take each Ram sticks (got 2) and test it individually...
btw I played around with 2.6/2.7/2.8 mem voltage settings too... didn't help

Test 1
512MB (Stick 1) DIMM3 (failure, reboot during Test1)

Test2
512MB (Stick 2) DIMM1 (success, ran all the way through Test3)

Test3
512MB (Stick 1) DIMM1 (success, ran all the way through Test3)

now I'm about to stick stick number 2 into DIMM3 and run the test again...

but from what I've told you, what can you guys conclude about it...

btw I got it to pass in DIMM1
with

6-3-3-2.5cas timings

which is the specified times on the DIMM stick

---------------------------------------

Update: Memory stick 2, just failed in DIMM3

So thats both sticks that fail in DIMM3 but work fine in DIMM1
Proceeding to test DIMM2 now

-------------------------------------------

Second update: DIMM2 just failed as well...

I'm gonna try populating DIMM1+DIMM2...
maybe the MB doesn't like DIMMS being skipped

What kind of motherboard do you have? Just had to RMA my Gigabyte GA7N400 Pro2 because the both of the DIMM slots on the second channel went bad inexplicably.

EDIT: Using 2 sticks of the PC3200 2.5 6-3-3 from newegg (although running it at 2 7-3-3)

OK heres what I have so far...

DIMM1 (works)
DIMM2 (failure)
DIMM3 (failure)
DIMM1+2 (works)
DIMM1+3 (failure)

Now whats puzzling is that the MB's manual says for best results from DualDDR, use the combo:
DIMM1+3 or DIMM2+3

Like I said, it sounds to me like the second channel of your motherboard went out. Maybe this is a problem with Geil memory and NForce Ultra 400 boards or something? Hmm...

my motherboard is the Leadtek K7NCR18D Pro2

-------------------------------------

Update:

whoohoo I got DIMM2+DIMM3 working jsut fine...
maybe my problem was that it needed to have a matching pair for DDR...

My DIMMS slots are set up as
1 - black color
2+3 - both blue color...

So what I got now is:
DIMM1 only: success
DIMM2 only: failure
DIMM3 only: failure
DIMM1+2: success
DIMM1+3: failure
DIMM2+3: success

well so far, I got DualDDR to work
I actually went to www.geilusa.com
and looked up my memory, to my surprise i was disappointed to see my memory's timing listed as 7-4-4-2.5 and kept the voltage at 2.8 (default is 2.6) even when it kept rebooting it seemed to have helped prolong before rebooting when i upped the voltage...

anyways

so I set these in the BIOS and everything seems to be working, I just ran the torture test for 7 hours, 29 minutes and got 0 errors - 0 warnings :)
