Well I owned myself today... again

I didn't get a good nights rest so I was really tired this morning. At work, there are these 2 large heavy glass doors that leads to the office floor. I'm relatively strong but I was so tired I wasn't really paying much attention so on my way to the bathroom and half asleep, I pulled twice as hard leaning towards the door with my face only a foot away. Well you guessed it, I pulled and the door smacked me on the side of the face in front of my colleagues. Luckily my foot was also in the way and took the initial impact but it was slanted so the door just slid past and kept going. I wonder if it's gonna bruise. 🙁 😱

edit: Suffice to say I'm fully awake now.

Update:

Well it happened again :|

But this time was quite the opposite. Was sleepy again so to avoid getting smacked in the face I decided to stay futher back from the door. As I reached for the handle, I only got a few fingers gripped and as I pulled(by leaning back with body weight instead of with my arms), they slipped off and I fell flat on my ass. I swear, this door is the bane of my existence.

Before we moved offices our last one had some sliding glass doors and my boss walked into them while closed twice.

I'm talking full on smeared face on glass, quite hilarious 🙂

Sorry holmes. Don't worry, the day is almost over. You only have... about a billion hours to go 😛

I hope you are not driving... You are having enough problems walking.

I'm not... I walk to work though and I have no problems walking, just opening artistically large and heavy modern glass doors.

I hear this magic substance called coffee is supposed to help with your ailment

While extremely tired at work. I nodded off, which caused me to knock my coffee onto my lap. Let me tell you, nothing wakes you up more than pouring a steaming hot cup of coffee onto your lap.

A steaming hot secretary on your lap would likely be even more effective.

You should really stop drinking at work. 😀

But on a more serious note, go home. If you are so tired that opening a door is defeating you you are likely not being very productive.
