I among many are VERY upset with the EPOX and Visiontek conflict forcing me to buy a new mobo!
For those not aware of situation. Epox capacitor placement near agp slot conflicts with one on GF4.
Well I was in love with the Epox, fast and reliable, Kt266a sporting a 2000+ w/ high perf DDR.

whats next? which board plays hard?

I dont need sound, lan, raid on board but Im not going to reject because the board has 1 or all of these mentioned.

Im asking for a suggestion on the best socket A board...

Hrmm.. from examining the pics of each card:

VisionTek: GF3 Ti200

and

VisionTek: GF4

I'm buying the GF3, and it doesn't have the capaciters like the GF4, so I should be fine? (I have the same board, 8KHA+)

yes your fine... this became a problem with geforce 4 because the card is longer.

I also have an EPoX 8KHA+. Luckily I don't have the $$$ for a GF4. I'm just waiting until the GF4's push down the price on the GF3 Ti500's.

This is really going to tarnish Epox's rep. But hey, if they are out of spec. then they should be liable for a board replacement/exchange program.
