Well i can change multiplyers on a KT400

Just tryed on my ASUS A7V8X, KT400. Lowered the multiplyer in the bios from 13 to 12 and it worked But big deal, Ia'm using a 2700+ at 13 @ 190 FSB, LOWERING the multiplyer TO 12 @ 200 FSB, FREEZE, I then tryed 12 @190 and it worked, but i can run 13 @ 190 so what's the the point of lowering the multiplyer ?

If your overclock is limited by the CPU, cutting the multiplier and increasing the fsb so the overall CPU speed is equal, the one with the higher fsb will perform better due to higher memory bandwidth. If your RAM or your chipset can't handle the higher fsb, it doesn't matter what the CPU muliplier is as your machine will be unstable. In your case, you might try easing back on the memory timings to see if you can't get that extra 10MHz fsb and if it works with a 13x multiplier, there is no reason to go back to 12x.
