This thread reminds me of Chevy Chase's scene with the new car in Vacation. :)

I don't open the damn door fully you dimwit.

Of course it's possible. It's just a damn bloody lot more convenient to be able to open the door all the way at a gas station when there's no earthly reason why the fuel door can't be situated such that the driver's door can be fully opened.

You know, for someone who gets a whole hell of a lot of backup from me when people bitch about your preference for large American cars that last forever and can be easily and cheaply repaired, you sure know how to be a consumate jackass sometimes.

Not hard to find, but rather a pain to fill up is a 2004 GMC pickup with a dump bed added on. The line running from the spout to the gas tank is darn near horizontal making the gas pump sit precariously close to falling off.

It's a pain in the ass to have people driving the WRONG way when you pull up to a pump! It's totally retarded, and I'll never understand it. The hoses will strech all the way to the center of the back of a car, even if you're a full two feet from the curb. Not to mention, you'll generally pull past the pump, and still have the ability to swing the door fully open. I think this is another reason I prefer four doors. Two door cars have doors that are too long.

and yet you CAN pull up to a gas pump any way you like. There is no "wrong" way
