I get a call saying something about someone having an issue with a heath care company (them) and to call 1-800-...

I go to call the number to tell them that they have the wrong info, get the message "this number now has a directory service, please dial 1-900..."

I wonder how many people called that 1-900 number.

Haha - It's not a scam. It's out in the open, told, and you're not forced to dial the 900 number. For the most part, scams aren't really scams if you read the fine print -which people rarely do. It's just a really really bad business deal.

depends on what you define scam as. i would say a scam is intentionally misleading people (weather they should know better or not) to make money. this company seems to be intentionally misleading people (weather it is legal or not).

You basically pay money per month to get discounts from major stores online -only the discounts are NOT worth the money per month unless you're buying $1,000's per month. And it's required that you send emails all over hell and back to people asking if they want to join (spam), making personal webspaces all over with DHS advertisements, etc.

You eventually become a "sponsor" with members underneath you, and get paid more for how many members that you "sponsor" -sound familiar anyone?

Pretty much. Eventually, you're supposed to be getting something like $5,000 per month (in three years or so) from all the people you "sponsor" which in turn will give you more money to spend supporting your new best friend (DHS) on their not-so-cheap discounts with major stores online.
