I got my new MOBO yesterday but I still havnt decided on WICH CASE I need. I looked all over Pricewatch.com(THE BEST IS 33.00 Abd it comes with a cheepo 300 watt) and found a few that im intrested in, but I keep wondering if theres a better deal out there.
Anyone know a better place to look for cases?
I must have that fallowing.
300 power supply watt at least. Really want 350 to 400 watt
3 5.20 drive bays.
3 3.0 drive bays
2 case fans at least
I dont really care what the out side of the case lookes like as long as it dont have any holes or bad scratches on it.
Maybe Im just cheep I dont know. I might even trade for a new case but i dont know how to work the buy sell forum.

I really like my enlight 7237 from newegg.com. (It was $46). Be sure to get an extra 80mm fan for the back. You can get it with a 300 or 340. They are Enlight PSU's. I've heard they're pretty decent psu's. I haven't had any problem with my 300W running an epox 8kha+, xp1700+, Geforce3 ti200, lite-on cd burner, generic NIC, and 256MB Crucial PC2100.

Sithman,

I picked up a Chenming AW-601 last week for my new machine. The case was $54 @ KDComputers.com
It is the same case as the Antec/Chieftecs sold out there. Chenming makes the actual cases however. I don't remember which Antec model it duplicates but I love it. For a steel case it is great. It has 4 5.25 and 3 3.0's in it. Check it out.

Little ironic. ALL I have so far is the case. Got a Chieftec charcoal one with 420watt power supply and door on it. Love the look of it and got onsale from newegg for $92 to my door. Even have a few Panaflos for it aldready. Cant wait to get the $ for the rest but this case sure is nice. Good luck.

I must BE CHEEp. I am building this system
AMD T-Bird 1.4Gig
1.5 Gig of SDRam
Gforce3 TI 500/4 TI 4600
SeaGate 40 Gig Hard Drive
52X Cdrom/10XDvD
Floppy
Jazz
Burner
Zip
Bose wav Radio/PC Card
Lets seee hmmmm anything elce?hmmmmm
Ok Now the case
300 power supply watt at least. Really want 350 to 400 watt
3 5.20 drive bays.
3 3.0 drive bays
2 case fans at least
More drive bays the better. But I dont want to pay more that $40.00
I might be willing to trade for 1. Also I dont have a cred card, So I will have to use a money order.

Try Ebay maybe if you only have a money order as payment option. I looked at some nice cases on there before. But if you care about your system enough to spend $250+ on a video card and put 1.5 gig of RAM also then I personally would spend up to $100 on the case and power supply. Good luck.

A 300w ps may be too small with all the stuff in your case.

Remember: Cheap case = cheap power supply

Cheap power supply + Athlon = Trouble

I just gotta plug my new mid-tower Evercase 4252. $22 at Newegg w/no power supply. $42 w/power supply (which I believe is AMD approved up to XP1600+). Shipping for me was $16.

This thing has no sharp edges (and believe me, a clutz like me would've gotten cut if there were any). It has more drive bays than my friend's Full-tower case. External: 4 X 5.25 and 2 X 3.50. Hidden: 4 X 3..50 (2 screwless removeable HD Cages). 2 x Front USB ports. 1 x side ball bearing fan with bracket. Lots of room to work (wish it had a removable Motherboard tray though).

Room for one fan in front, one in the rear. One built in to the side.

It's pretty solid too. Not as solid as an Antec case, but still pretty good. I've already hauled it to some LAN parties.

There was a whole thread on this case in the Hot Deals forum. Don't know if it's still there. BTW, did I mention that I love this case?
