I know there are plenty of instructables and what not for it. FWIW, what I did below:
Unfortunately, my stuff got here too late to do any real shooting.
Ingredients:
Shade 10 glass
77-82mm step up ring
super glue
electrical tape
Windex
1. I screwed on the 77-82mm adapter to my lens and marked where the vertical position should be.
2. Cleaned the glass and step up adapter.
3. Carefully applied "Ultra Liquid Control Loctite Super Glue" to the ring and placed it on the glass (with the mark oriented where I wanted it). While it set, I aimed a small desktop fan at it to blow away any fumes that could cause hazing.
4. Used the electrical tape to mask the ring to eliminate light leaks.
5. Plan to use electrical tape around the rim of the glass (only taped the bottom portion).
