Update: The Pitt has been pulled temporarily while Bethesda works out some kinks. Thanks R Nilla.

Update2: It's baaaaaack. And it's not corrupted. Link

The Pitt is has returned to the service! If you purchased and downloaded The Pitt yesterday, you?ll need to delete that version from your storage device before you download the new version. Here is an official support document that outlines what you?ll need to do to to delete the old version, but the basic steps are as follows:

* Sign in to Xbox LIVE then press the guide button
* Go to Settings->System Settings->Memory.
* From here, scroll down to Fall Out 3 and press A.
* Select Fallout 3: The Pitt (Marketplace Content) press A then choose Delete, then Yes to Delete.

Now, you can go and re-download the new version for no charge and begin your adventure. Remember, any content you purchased (like The Pitt) can be re-downloaded at no charge.

Also, don?t delete anything that says ?Autosave.? That would be bad 😉

Update3: It's Baaaaaaack Again. And this time it's personal

A new version of The Pitt is up on Xbox LIVE. If you?re experiencing crashes when trying to access content on The Pitt, delete the content off your hard drive and re-download. If you haven?t experienced any issues with freezing, there?s no need to re-download.

To delete the previous content for The Pitt, follow these steps:

* Sign in to Xbox LIVE then press the guide button
* Go to Settings->System Settings->Memory.
* From here, scroll down to Fallout 3 and press A.
* Select Fallout 3: The Pitt (Marketplace Content) press A then choose Delete, then Yes to Delete.

Now, you can go and re-download the new version for no charge and begin your adventure.

Ack apparently both the 360 and PC version of The Pitt are suffering from some issues (missing textures, freezing, etc). Bethesda is looking into it.

Good to see they tested it so well before releasing it.

I'm guessing it is an issue with the delivery. Some people are saying it works OK after redownloading.

lol nice bethesda.

god damn it, was looking forward to playing this... maybe they should fix their games before releasing NEW content that also doesn't work :laugh:

Well, according to Bethesda, the DLC got corrupted at some point during the delivery to Live. So, it isn't that it won't work (it actually previewed very well), it's just a bad installation executable.

Don't tell me Bethesda can't use CRCs... come on, this shit shouldn't happen.

Furthermore, if it was just a corruption on transport it wouldn't take them all day to fix it.. something else happened. The French content supposedly works fine and plays well so I don't know what it could be but it's definitely not just a corruption issue with the transport to xbox live at this point. It wouldn't take them this long to work on it.

Sucks now that console players are subjected to the same crap that us PC gamers have been going through for years.

Amen to that. Why hire & pay beta testers when you can get one million people to pay YOU to test it. :disgust:

Well, at least Xbox owners are getting some DLC, even if it's broken. I must say I'm not amused by how Bethesda is treating Fallout fans.

Bethesda mentioned it was the English content specifically that got corrupted.

Yes I realize that and that's why I mentioned the French content, but you can't tell me you believe them that it's a transport issue when it was reported by them early this morning and it still hasn't been fixed all day.

I guess it's foolish of us to speculate until we know more but that story just rubs me the wrong way.

who cares?

and why would they lie? not like they are hiding something. besides, it'll be out soon. won't kill ya to wait, will it?

Looks like they're hoping for a relaunch tomorrow afternoon. There's an update to the post I linked to above.

So you know exactly how their file structuring works I take it then. Because without knowing how they throw their shit together for the console games you have no clue how some corruption can affect things.

I got O:A even after hearing everyone complain about how short it was. I will be getting this too. I have no problem dishing out $10 to support the devs of one of my favorite games ever.
