Wouldn't that be a kick in the teeth if she joined little Ron? 🙂

I don't know much about Ron Reagan's political views, but I find it odd that he is slated to speak at the DNC tonight. Anyone care to enlighten me?

Stem cell research. Harvesting human lives for research could save others from Alzheimers and countless other diseases. Also, cloning humans to be slaves or soldiers would save more lives. Oops...did I open a can of moral ambiguities?

Go back to your simpleton science fiction novel and back away from the keyboard. :disgust:

Are you some kind of idiot? Where on earth do you get this idea that we will be cloning humans and sacrificing them for sake of research? Medical advances are going to continue regardless of what hardcore Christian conservatives have to say about it.

I don't know what you have against me. Why you persist in calling me an idiot while evincing your ignorance is a mystery.

Ah well, I'll play teacher again for you.

Many scientists are keen to extract embryonic stem cells in a cloning procedure similar to the one that produced Dolly the sheep.

They believe the use of cells harvested from embryos offers the greatest potential to treat degenerative diseases - more so than for stem cells taken from adults which they argue are less easy to handle and control.

Zeph said.

No but you demonstrated your lack of understanding of these matters. I'm sure the answers are in the Bible somewhere, go back to reading that.

Who has a lack of understanding? Nobody, including President Bush or any Christian nut cares if we perform research on stem cells from umbilical cord or adults. In fact, President Bush said to go ahead and use the ones we already have. Nobody is against the research...just one proposed means for acquiring stem cells.

The moral ambiguities are when scientist begin fertilizing eggs to harvest the stem cells from the embryos.

Ok Mr. Understanding. What is the procedure for saving those eggs for later use, and then dealing with those fertalized eggs when they are not wanted?

Why don't you enlighten us. What exactly is "an admitted Liberal" in your mind. Is it any worse/different than an admitted Conservative?

FROM DRUDGE:
Dueling Reagans: Michael Reagan slams brother Ron, says he's 'being used' by the Dem Party... /// Michael charges brother Ron did not attend USS Ronald Reagan homecoming because he is a 'liberal' who does not believe in it and because it is 'weapon of mass destruction', says Nancy approves of Ron's speech at the Dem convention because 'he's her favorite'... Developing...

From the little I've seen of Micheal Reagan on TV, he seemed very devisive.

like I said, stem cell research is going to continue regardless of what decision our country makes. The prospects and possiblities are just too great.

Umm - I was responding to 1cito's request since he didn't know much about his views. Knowing that he is an admitted liberal might help 1cito understand why he is speaking at the Dem convention even though he is Ronald Reagan's son.

It must be tough times when the family of your party's "patron saint" disses you up one side and down the other. Do the (R)s have a second choice they can annoint? Bush Sr? Nixon? Anyone?

Oh... heck ... I'll go speak at their convention...

I'll speak on the morality of war and the betterment of mankind through creative financing and the use of OPM to finance the means to the END...

"Admitted liberal", "open with his liberalness", LOL, look at the two red faced partisans flirting with each other.
Endearing, isn't it?

Does it really matter who someone's parent is? Are the children not allowed to have their own views?

Did I say he couldn't have his own views? No, no I didn't. The question was posed - I answered. It's quite obvious he was chosen because of who his parents are though. I hope you aren't naive and think he'd get to speak if he wasn't the son of a former President.
