More of a project than a daily driver at that point, but after wheelbearings and new suspension it should be alright. How old are the batteries?

Are you talking about the 442k mile car? There is nothing wrong with the suspension or the wheel bearings.

The battery is 2.5 years old.

Maybe it's just me, but when someone asks about the 'batteries' on a hybrid, my assumption would be not the starting battery.

I am pretty sure he understood that. He had said the main pack had been replaced at one point.

I'm not a fan of grammar nazis... but "could care less" drives me fucking crazy. The phrase is "I could not care less." Just think about the meaning for one second 😛
