After resolving my sister's modem trouble,I started to use her pc to check it out.The keyboard,or os,seems to want to launch programs when ever certain keys are pushed.Like the d key brings up one thing, the e key another. This on two seperate keyboards?Running win98se,ie6,asus 2p97lx,cel366,256ram,220vi vrd,no snd crd, modem blaster56k modem,no nic. This happened to me a few years ago,I forgot why or how to fix.Any thoughts?

i had this problem once. Hitting R brings up the run menu and what not. Just a simple restart fixed the problem so i never got in debth to it. I would assume that there is some windows setting that allows this featur to be turned on. Hope that helps...

He's already tried another keyboard.

I also have this problem once every while, but I don't know if the source of the problem is the same - I always fix it by pushing angrily on the "meta" keys, ie ctrl, win, alt etc.
