so i ran pcpitstop. it always tells me my sceptre 12ms 19 inch 1280x1024 gaming lcd monitor is

MonitorsDescription
Monitor Sceptre 24522
Max. Resolution (HxV) 1600 x 1200 pixels
Screen Size (HxV) 38 x 30 cm
Viewable Diagonal Size 19.06 inch
Manufacture Date March 2005
Serial Number 983

1600x1200??? could the test be testing wrong? setting my monitor to that doesn't work. is there a sceptre bios hack i could somehow apply? :-D. interesting 🙂. must be like those x800gto cards in that part of the monitor is locked (above 1280x1024, so 1600x1200 isn't availble. not saying its as easy to unlock though, if at all 🙁 )

it would be neat if this monitor even though 19 inches could really do 1600x1200. i don't think its totally impossible. look at what 17 inch laptop screens do. whether it could be made to work is a highly unlikely, another story :-D

If you put the word "Gaming" in front of it you can charge up to 78% more and people will still gobble it up.

You can charge up to 114% more if you call it a "Tactical Gaming LCD."

*rim shot*

I understand that "Gaming" LCD's have a faster refresh rate.. so there.

i really don't know what the difference is. it has composite and svideo inputs on the back in addition to dvi and vga ports. perhaps thats the only distinction? as they do have anon gaming lcd that has the same specs as mine minus the svid and comps. inputs.

software's probably wrong, you are getting over 20" before you see 1600x1200 on an LCD (unless it is a laptop of course but that doesn't count)

actually the price between the 19inch gaming sceptre and non is just a few bucks. same specs besides the lack of svid and composite on the non gaming monitor. i think mine goes for like 299 plus shipping on newegg now. has a few stuck grey pixels but nothing that noticeable (in the lower right). i'm very happy with the monitor 🙂. its a 16.7 mil color too :-D

It doesn't even have to effect performance or anything remotely related to gaming like a monitor is.

How many websites have a category for ATX Gaming Case? WTF? A gaming case? like...it makes the games play better or somehow makes me more skilled at playing them? Just the box the system is in? What EXACTLY makes it a GAMING case? Don't ask me, it's just like the trend of putting "EXTREME" on everything...even my deodorant. They even come up with different ways of spelling it like EXTREME minus the leading E makes it even more XTREME!

It's fantastic to watch. Gaming power supplies too. Anyone selling a gaming floppy drive?

EDIT: Go to www.pricewatch.com and click on "Cases" and look at the categories on the right. One is "Gaming." Fantastic.

hahahahaha? it was a great deal and i'm very satisfied with the purchase :-D. i don't like hte speakers on it (why pay more for one without speakers? just for looks? blah) but then again thats why i have megaworks 😉. video is excellent, games don't lag (played quake 4, half life 2, call of duty 2, earth 2160, matrix path of neo, doom 3, star wars knights of the old republic, chronicles of riddick efbb, nba live 05 🙂. now the only negative i can think of is the color does change slightly if i sit to the side of the monitor but thats not really such a bad thing as i'm the only one using it so i just sit right in front :-D. i can't wait to get a sharp aquos 45 inch lcd 🙂. perfect viewing angles. i can't wait till it drops to about 1500 to 2000. i'm all over it then :-D. (down to 3300 on some sites!! :-D:-D:-D😀😀😀😀 )

almsot nothing can pull off full details @ 1600x1200 or even less at Apple or Dell's ridiculous 30'' LCD resolutions...

I defintiely respect SLI

ok i may have exagerrated maybe a lil on that 200fps in fear with the best dual video cards? oh well. just saying extra hardware is just bling bling. overkill. like a gaming case lol. for showing off only. either way i repent if the 200 fps in fear for dual cards is wrong.

*hallowed are the ori*

oh wait no they aren't. 😀

Daniel Jackson - parapharse - Great power does not equal divinity

he had some great stuff in that episode when he was trying to win people over to not worship the ori :-D
