Weird

When I try to use my headphones and I plug them in , I only get one side of the headphones with sound. If I want to have both sides of the headphones get sound the cord has to be partially disconnected.

Your sound card's jack and headphone plug have slightly different spacing on the stereo plugs.

seriously, its either the jack on the headphones, or somethings wrong with the contacts on the soundcard.

The plug on the headphones is slightly undersized - common for cheapies.

Ok. I don't think 35 dollar headphones are really cheap but o well.

Make sure you're plugging into the right port, and make sure there is a very tight connection on the plug. You can still acheive one earpiece of audio if the plug isn't fully inserted.
