Weird WinXP User Problem

I'm running Windows XP Pro w/Service Pack 1 installed.

For some reason, the user i am logged into doesn't show under windows task manager.

neither under the users tab or processes tab

EX:
Users Tab
Processes Tab

though if i look under my start menu, on the top of the start menu it will show the username that i am currently logged in under.

i've run 2 different virus scans and it came up with nothing.

it's not a huge problem, but it's a problem that's got me puzzled and hoping that there isn't major problem lying underneath :Q

i would rather not re-format my drive,since it's not that big of a problem.

how many users do you have? Maybe if you were to add a new user the new user would show up

i just formatted the hd and reinstalled xp, because i ended up having other issues, so it was the best case scenario. thanks for the suggestion.
