This is Win98SE and its running fine, All the device drivers are installed. The problem is this, everytime you boot up, somewhere in the bootup process it pulls a message saying "Windows has finished updating the changes please restart yes / no" well the words arent exact but you get teh idea.

now if you hit no, it works perfectly fine.. if you hit yes, it reboots and comes back to teh same point. any ideas?

this is a fresh install done last night.

Do you happen to have a 250mb zip drive? If so, let me know. Otherwise, any other software you've installed?

<< there is a 100MB parallel zipdrive installed.. though not connected.. the software is still on board.. >>

Iomega's software is EVIL dude, delete it and reboot. It did the same thing to me, asking me to reboot every single time I clicked yes. I eventually dumped it and it stopped. Do you really need a cute interface to drag and drop files ;D?

I was getting this problem before but I can't for the life of me remeber what was causing it or how I fixed it. But if you look in your windows folder for any winnit files (winnit.ini, winnit.bak, etc), opening them should give you a clue as to what's going on.
