Weird Win2k Problem ...

This was locked earlier? Maybe a mistake? ... repost ...

I mean I searched for a PC with a shared drive. Downloaded some files, disconnected and went about my bizness. Then everytime I reboot it's trying to connect to it. I get this small error window saying:

cd// not found or unaccesable (something like that)

I have NO mapped drives.

I had a similar problem but it was on a local drive. I just reset all teh permissions on the drive and it eliminated the problem.

When you connected to the shared drive, did you map it? If so, you likely had set the "reconnect at logon" option on.

At the command prompt, type NET USE and see if the drive is listed. If it is, type NET USE K: /DELETE (change K: as appropriate) to delete the mapping.

thanks for the help.

NET USE doesn't show anything. Like I said before. It is NOT a mapped drive. Now if there is some "check box" about reconnect at login, I need to know where that's at ...
