Weird Win ME Problem

I used it for 2 days straight without any problems. So I wake up one day and click on Start - Programs...and for some reason...it only shows like 1/4 of all my programs with a little arrow at the bottom...when i click on the arror it shows the rest but some of them are one color and some are another...anyone else had this problem with Win ME Final and know how to fix it?
 
That is a new feture of WinME and Win2000 called Personalized Menus. To turn it off, right click on the task bar and choose "Properties" then uncheck the "Use Personalized Menus" box.

Yes, the Personalized Menus will automatically hide any applications that you haven't click on recently. If you press on the arrow and run one of the hidden applications, next time that application won't be hidden anymore.
 
well it can get in a way, and it can be useful. i just dont like having to scroll down to get to a program that i HAVENT used yet. you know what i mean? dont you?
 
I didnt like it at first but now I do. Do you think there is a way to re-hide a program you used but dont use anymore? Or select specific prgrams you want hidden?
