weird video problem during movie playback 6800GT

I have 6800 gt
When a video is streched to full screen mode or to the scree borders picture corrupts. seems like lines going paralel to the screen distort the picture. There's a fine line when it happens. resizing a movie screen size at some point takes it away. Tried different players with the same result.🙁

is it only that video file? what kind of video file are you trying to play? divx, RM, etc..
do you have FFDshow installed?

your video file is interlaced that's why. Try a different forceware driver. I used 67.03 drivers and it did wonders!

Lol...it's none of these.

I had the exact same problem. The problem lies w/the nvidia forcewars 66.xx series drivers--they don't support full screen overlay all of the time. I fixed this by switching to the 67.03 drivers. Try that...I'm pretty sure it'll be fixed. Or instead, try using the new 70.90 beta drivers...they pretty awesome.

Both can be found here:

Good luck!

thx,I'll give it a try.

It's PNY if it matters. I took a look at PNY website and they have version 61.+
Does it mean it's old or they use their own name system.

I also noticed that all the videos have big pixels.DVD quality video looks like it was badly encoded to 100mb or something. If you know what I mean

Just means it's old.

Make sure that 'enable hardware acceleration' is checked.

Did the new drivers fix the problem? keep us updated.

ok,I installed the new drivers it fixed the problem
but now during tv or video playback I can see the pixels. It was bad before, now it's worse. during tv watching they are square,During video playback they seem round like the video is made of mosaic. Basicly I get crappy quality. New divx 5.21 is installed but seems like it's the same thing.

what kind of files are you trying to play? xvid? divx? let us know but you shouldn't have a problem playing the video files. and which drivers are you using ?

latest 67 drivers

Trying to play avi files decoded by different codecs

I actully just tried switching to CRT monitor and it improved quality of the video by about 40%😕

anyways, resizing a movie to about 1/4 of the screen returns all the quality. It kinda seems like it's just stretches the picture. I am lost here...
Just uninstalled FDD show program.
