Weird Unreal Sound Bug.

My sound starts out fine and then gets distorted after about 1 minute. Anyone know what the cause of this is or how I can solve it. Thanx.

Yeah, a few more details would help. I mean "Unreal" could refer to five different games.

The standard place to start is to patch the game to the latest version and to update your sound card drivers to their latest versions.

There is only one Unreal. But the one I have installed is Unreal Gold.

Lastest patch installed. Nothing but a cheap-ass link fix in the start menu.

Built in Sound Nforce2, not sound storm. The MyMachine link is in my sig for more info.

9700 Pro on Balance preset. 1280x1024 in game 32-bit.

It is 2.26b.

When people use the term "Unreal" they often refer to one of the five games in the series.
This is a problem. People are being inconsistant and this means miscommunication. I always like to correct people. I hate inconsistancies.

It's also like when someone mentions 9800 and then people ask, is it the pro or nonpro. I would respond, well, is there a pro at the end? If it's one thing it's not the other. It is what it is. ATI says 9800 and 9800 Pro. They don't say 9800 nonpro and 9800 pro.

It's like this one time I was at a restaurant and I ordered water and the waiter asked, carbonated or noncarbonated. Gee, well, it seems to me that water is noncarbonated, imagine that. If I wanted carbonated water then I would have said so.

I hate people and their inconsistancies.

I don't like the dictionary either. The dictionary is just a history book of words and their meanings. Dictionaries form depending on how we use the words. That is BS. A dictionary should be a standard not an ever changing history book. People should go to the dictionary for a reliable reference. There should be a dictionary committee or something. One word must always have one meaning forever. New words should have to be approved by the dictionary committee. Do you know bling bling is in the Oxford dictionary. WTF is up with that. It's like two words, but counts as one.

Consistancy makes it easier to learn and makes miscommunication less likely.
