I noticed it yesterday and then this morning.

Last night I was coming on to the 134 West from the 2 North and its approach is a long decreasing radius curve. Anyway when coming out of the turn I hit the gas and it started to go in and out.. meaning the engine would go in and out.

I looked at ford's recall that hasnt been mentioned. At first I thought maybe this car has an anti-skid ESP on it, but then I realised no this isnt due to it. When coming out of the curve I powered up and It felt like i was hitting an rev limiter (but I was doing 35 mph in 3rd.

This morning while getting on to the 134 East there is a decreasing radius onramp and as I was coming out of the onramp it did that again..

I am taking it in today to have it checked (I got a 3 day 500 miles return and 10 day 1000 miles exchange on it - cooling off period).

Any idea's?

It sounds to me that i got a fuel delivery problem. I am going to fill her up and take the turns again and see if she comes up again. I am at 1/4 tank. The car otherwise runs fine.. smooth as ever.

When I was looking at focuses when they first came out, I browsed the "focus owners: problems and issues" thread at Edmunds town hall. It was about 1600 posts long, and this same exact problem was mentioned several times. No recall ever came of it, but I think it was made a TSB though. The fix escapes me at the moment though.

I think the fix is to remove the illegal immigrants that built it that were smuggled in the engine compartment.... Also to remove the Union workers banana from the tail pipe who did the official lookover of the car when it came in from mexico. :D

Ford = Owned

damn .. my new used car has to go in..

I am beginning to hate this.... :(

Might have been why I got it cheap and so little mileage.. and why the guy upgraded to a mustang.

Is there a Mustang in your future?

Yeah, maybe you should "step up" to a 733t Civic instead!
