A common shortcut to avoid typing the "www." and ".com" in a browser is to type the domain name, then press"Ctrl-Enter". Lately, after doing so, IE forwards me to a Lycos search engine instead of the actual site. This happens when I go to some sites (eg Earthlink.com or YAGT.com), but not at yahoo or hotmail. I've ran Spybot, which didn't fix the problem.
