Just bought Trainspotting; shrink wrapped (although any store can do this) & had the original sticker strip running along the bottom edge ... but there's no freaking DVD in here!!! :|

They better exchange this!

Update
Got my exchange, woot!
Apparently the store opened one up & used in for an instore display & forgot to put it back in when the resealed it... apparently

SUUUUUURRRRREEEEEEE there wasn't... 😀

Yeah I'm expecting the store to say that too when I go exchange it.

But they'll be seeing me tomorrow for sure & I can foresee a little scene already in regards to whether there was a DVD or not... but I will have my Trainspotting, this I swear!!!

Don't act ANGRY until they start to deny you

Yes that never really helps the issue.
I will be calm & civilized... until they call me a liar & theif.

WTH is Trainspotting?

Heard about it quite a bit on here in the past year or so...

Imagine Requiem for a Dream, but with British accents and in a comedy format.

It's not about trains? LOL, the whole time I thought it was some cool history program about trains.

<------ been watching WAY too much of the history channel lately.

had a similar thing happen to a friend... she bought the back to the future trilogy and it only came with 2 of the 3 discs.

I bought a copy of UT2003 and it came with no serial number. I complained on IRC and everyone thought I was a lamer looking for a serial #. Fortunately I had no problems taking the game back.

They will exchange it because ...

It is rare for a customer to come in and tell this story. The bad publicity they could receive for a $16 DVD is tremendous.

I had a game that was like that a while back. Luckily the store exchanged it for a copy with a CD inside.
They took all my details, although I could quite easily BSed them id I'd wanted to as they didn't ask for any proof of address or anything like that.

my brother bought "kingdom hearts" for ps2 from GameStop and the salesman sold him the display copy (sealed, with no disc..just the DVD shell case). He called up there and the guy who sold it to him had just left for the day, and they said to come up and talk to the manager. I went up there and showed receipt and the manager was laughing. I asked what was so funny, and he (the manager) said that he, himself, was the one who in fact sold it to my brother. We laughed it off as i got the new copy. He apologized for the inconvenience.
