Ok, I had my cpu at 2.6, got better cooling and i am now trying to set it to 2.7 in the bios but the software, Prime, Sandra, Everest, cpuz all think that it is still running at 2.6. I thought it was a virus but ran antivirus software and nothing. Whats wrong???
Heres what i mean Click Me

I think you did something wrong. Windows isn't reliable for reading speed. I only trust CPU-Z. Try setting those settings again.

what do you mean?? everytime I go to the bios, its set to 270x10 and also MBM 5 also sees the cpu at 2.7, its just certain apps like, prime, sandra, OCCT, etc. that see it as 2.6. anyone??

EDIT: and since i try to test stability, OCCT and Prime sees it as a 2.6 proc and thus dont know if its stable.... Heres MBM 5's Screen Shot

do you have cool n' quit enabled?? i know that with my p4 on speed step technology it keeps my processor at a 14x multiplier running at 3.5ghz when i'm not at load, and then jump up to 4.5ghz when i need it. but i don't know if you have cool n' quiet or not.. hell, i'm not even an a64 expert,i just think it may be something like mine.

Nah i dont have it on, no use for it IMO. I dont think ANY A64 CPU does that. But oh well, i have to go through installing everything again, sigh.
