i just upgraded my pc almost buying a complete new one only having ram and hdd from my old build.

anyways on to the problem, when i start up i get this really weird text thats only on sceen very shortly then the epox nforce4 screen comes up for a while then this screen comes up. strange startup i then press F1 and it continues on to this page next screen i then wait a little bit and the windows screen loads and then windows. now i installed all the drivers from the epox boxed cd and also for my vid card. i can watch media ok. then i tryed playing hl2 and during the opening movie weird blue lines appered every where and it froze, so i restarted and i was still getting those weird blue lines in the desktop screen.

anyideas how to fix this?

edit: oh and i have win xp pro service pack2

ok edit again: my computer is now almost completely stuffed. i tryed playing aoe3 and during the starting movie it froze and now i have to hook the internet up to the family pc.

plz guys help if u can its been hell for like 3 weeks trying to get my computer working. first i had an Abit fatali1ty mobo and it was dead then i get the epox board and im still having problems, windows wont even boot most the time now and the monitor goes to sleep on and off and i now get random restarts. also my cmos screen is all messed up like those pics i posted

It looks like your BIOS is buggered. Try flashing to a new version of the BIOS. If it still doesn't work, then either your CMOS chip is corrupted, or you are having video card problems.

Well it looks like a video problem, but you didn't list what video card you have, or what power supply. My guess is it's the video card, or it's underpowered by a weak PSU..could also be that there is a standoff out of place under the motherboard causing a short.

i have xfx 6600GT 128mb vid card and 550W truepower 2.0 psu.

i had my whole system looked at wen the abit board was in and they said it was only the abit board that was dead.
