OK, I have a SB Live!Value sound card and have already installed the latest driver for Win2K. But the problem is that everytime it plays the CTMelody (start Windows wave) and after about three seconds, I hear a VERY FAST version of this wave sound and what the hell is going on? I hope I am making myself clear because I wanna stop this to happen. My sound works perfectly under Win9x but now, I have this weird problem......Pls. help.......

I got strange hissing sounds with my SBlive under Win2k. Someone posted that Creative is aware of some of the problems that a Soundblaster Live has with Win2k.

Oh right, hissing is a better word to describe my problem:) Anyway, so, this is a known problem? Can I contact Creative and ask or even eMail them? Do they provide support for their OEM Live!Value card?

Thanks.

Don't know about OEM support.

I have hissing, static you name it, and the strange thing is that when I'm playing music (MP3, Wav) I have no problems. Only when playing games and browsing the web, like the clicks you hear when clicking on a link, they?ll produce some static. Even when doing nothing at but moving my mouse I'll get feed back from my speakers.

What I did was turn off hardware acceleration; this helped to reduce most of the static/feedback.
