Weird SB Live problem

I have one of the original Live values without digital. When I put it in my abit BX6-2 MB, anything that goes out of the "wav out" is just a high pitched tone (kind of like the ones used for the TV emergency broadcast system), midi out is fine. I threw it into another machine with an MSI 6119 mb and it worked just fine. Both times with default windows drivers, although on the BX6 I also tried creative's drivers which didn't change anything.. any help?
 
try putting it in a different pci slot that board is picky with pci's, if you go to abit's webb site there is a faq's about how to put your cards in.
 
I've tried a diff slot to no avail. It wasn't sharing an IRQ, and the card was working fine on this board before... even weirder huh?
