I've been experimenting a bit with my older 1700. It has always been both a terrible overclocker, and refusing to run memory faster then 2400MHz.

Now tough, I've got it stable at 2800MHz memory. The weird thing is that it flatout refuses to boot at 2666MHz, no matter which timings and voltage selected. 2933MHz is somewhat stable, but not enough to run 24/7, but that is likely the memory used.

Anyone run into something similar?
