I just urgraded from a wired router to a wireless D-Link DI-714P+, and I'm having this weird issue with posting on AT forums. When I hit reply, nothing would happen and it would time out after awhile (my comp is wired to the router). I had to enable my computer as a DMZ server to post here, but its annoying when I'm on the laptop and cant post on AT. I'd rather not return the router cause its $68CAD with 50 MIR, so does anyone know why this might be happening? Any settings I can fiddle with to get it to work?

According to DLink's site about the 714:

The AirPlus DI-714P+ employs the basic parental control features of URL blocking, Domain blocking and IP address blocking, accessed through the Web-based configuration interface. URL blocking allows blocking of Web sites whose domain names contain specific blocked words. Domain blocking restricts access to specific Web site domain names and all related sub sites. IP address blocking allows restriction of Internet access during specified times of the day or indefinitely. Such controls allow a safe, secure connection for all clients without the abuse of Internet privileges.

Can you check to see if any of those settings are enabled? Also, is this the only website you can't access?

Nope. I have IP blocking and domain blocking turned off. Only MAC address filtering is on (lack of WEP). I tried fiddling with the options and posting in this thread and it wouldnt post.

Something very odd is going on with that router. I have the DI-614+, and with no ports opened, I can post just fine. If you're on other parts of the Internet without issue, I can't imagine why this site would be an issue. Did you try resetting the router to factory defaults? How about a firmware upgrade?

Woot! It works!! I went to the earliest firmware they had and it works! Friggan new firmware (which came with the router) was doing all the stupid sh!t.

Looking at the screengrabs I see on d-links site, the 614+ has a lot of different options the 714P+ dont have, which sucks. :(

FWIW, I'm running mine with the latest firmware, 3.20. I think if you reset to factory defaults with the 3.20 firmware and go from there, you should get connected properly.

The latest for 714P+ is 1.23. I know they are basically the same router with the 714 having a printserver, so if I used 614 firmware (dont know if I can, but if i did), I will loose that feature, which I need.
