Alright, whenever I try to use WinMX, Kazaa, or Kazaa- Lite, I connect fine, and can usually get one search to go through fine. After that, however, no matter which program I'm using, it can not find any matching files, regardless of what I look for. If I reboot my computer, I can repeat this process. This is for any file sharing program.
I'm connected to a router sharing a cable connection, and although I'm rebooting, my IP on the comp stays the same, 192.168.1.102. The internet works fine, as does the network connection I've got to access my other comps harddrives, so I shouldn't be lagging out or anything. I'm really not sure what the issue is. Also, I've got my firewall configured correctly, or else I wouldn't be able to get that first search in, right?
I'm asking this here because to the best of my knowledge this isn't a networking problem persay, but maybe a registry file that is blocking me somehow? Who knows... I trun to the almight Anandtech to help me in my quest.
