weird puzzle for everyone to figure out

The two triangles aren't similar.

So the "hypotenuse" bulges out a little in the bottom, and in a bit on the top. That's where the extra square goes.
 
The triangles themselves have the same area, but they look different. If you do the math on them you will find it to be true, you have to figure each piece on its own though. This is a common picture and has been around for a while. I like it, its interesting.
 
I like this picture from the same site. Would you believe that all the lines are perfectly straight and level??

Hold a piece of paper to them to see, pretty cool...
