weird puzzle for everyone to figure out

hello. I seen this interesting puzzle and couldnt figure it out. anyone seen this or know why?

The two triangles aren't similar.

So the "hypotenuse" bulges out a little in the bottom, and in a bit on the top. That's where the extra square goes.

the figure as a whole is not a real triangle. The two triangles' hypotenuses have different slopes

The triangles themselves have the same area, but they look different. If you do the math on them you will find it to be true, you have to figure each piece on its own though. This is a common picture and has been around for a while. I like it, its interesting.
