weird problem

I'm building a computer for a friend and i'm encountering a problem. Windows setup copies all the files on to the hd but when it restarts to start the installation process, it can't boot off the hd and stops and press any key to boot off CD . . . . anybody know whats wrong?

take cd out immed after reboot starts

i took it out and it still won't boot to the hd. . just the cblack screen and flashing cursor on the bottom

this may seem like a stupid question...but is the hdd set as first boot device in the bios?

Are the HD's SATA? I'm pretty sure the Raptor is, and if the boot drive is then are you loading the SATA drivers during the windows install, from a floppy?

Just a thought...

nope, this isn't my computer. This is a different computer and its running a WD PATA drive. It's on the primary IDE channel and it is the first boot device. the CDROM was the first durnig windows installation but when I normally, even with the cd rom as the first boot device, if you don't press any key to boot from cd, the, computer should boot to the hd and continue installation anyways. Now it just stops at the press any key part and regardless of what boot sequence it is set to.
